Hello, I’m Leona. Founder of Workplace Digest.

Workplace Digest wasn’t born from a business strategy or marketing plan. It was born from lived experience.

For years, I built my career helping organizations find talent and helping professionals navigate important moments in their careers. Along the way, I saw the pressures many people carried behind the scenes, but it wasn’t until I experienced my own difficult season that my perspective changed forever. In 2023, I experienced a layoff while also navigating significant personal life transitions. Like many professionals, I found myself trying to manage uncertainty, emotional stress, and major life changes while still showing up each day and figuring out what came next. That season taught me something I had never fully understood before.

Work and life are deeply connected.

The employee sitting in a meeting may be carrying grief. The leader making decisions may be navigating burnout. The job seeker submitting applications may be rebuilding after disappointment. The professional who appears strong on the outside may be fighting battles no one else can see. Yet many workplaces still operate as though people can separate their humanity from their work. I started Workplace Digest because I wanted to help change that conversation. What began as a small LinkedIn newsletter became a platform dedicated to exploring the human side of work through research, storytelling, practical resources, and meaningful conversations.

Today, Workplace Digest exists to help people navigate work and life with greater resilience, self-awareness, compassion, and hope. Through articles, workshops, speaking engagements, career resilience resources, and leadership conversations, my goal is to help individuals and organizations create healthier relationships with work and with one another. At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief:
